- Knocked off Cincinnati 68-58 on Jan. 13, 2024, for BYU's first Big 12 women's basketball win
- Beat Washington State on Nov. 18, 2022, for first win as a college coach
Before BYU
Coaching Career
- Head coach of the Burley High School (Idaho) girls team, won 2022 state championship, just the third in school history
- Named 4A Idaho Statesman Coach of the Year, conference coach of the year and helped the Bobcats to back-to-back region titles
- Took a program with just five wins in her first year to three consecutive 20-win seasons, culminating in a 25-1 season in 2021-22
- Recorded a 70-37 record as Burley's head coach over four seasons
- Head coach for the Adidas 17U 3SSB Select Team in the Spring/Summer Shoe Circuit for the Natalie Williams Basketball Academy
- Directed Utah Hard Knox, one of the most successful AAU programs in Utah, that consistently produced Division I talent
Playing Career
- Played two seasons at Snow College (1997-1999)
- Back-to-back team MVP, named to the SWAC All-Tournament team and Honorable Mention All-American in 1999
- Led the team in scoring and assists
- Back-to-back All-Region Team selection at Snow College
- Following her two-year career at Snow College, Whiting played one season at Weber State (1999-2000) where she averaged 5.0 points per game
- Transferred to BYU for the 2000-01 season
- Prepped at Fremont High School in Ogden, Utah

Education
- Earned a bachelor's degree in history with a teaching certificate from BYU in 2001
- Master's degree from Grand Canyon in professional learning communities
Family
- Married to Trent Whiting
- Trent played for Snow College, the University of Utah, and BYU before played 12 years professionally in Italy
- Has two children, Jace and Amari
