AZUSA, Calif. – Carlee Hansen ran the seventh-fastest 1500-meter time in BYU history Friday night at the Bryan Clay Invitational.

The senior from Bountiful, Utah clocked 4:12.42 for BYU's No. 7 all-time mark and a 13th place finish  in the elite sections at the Bryan Clay Invitational.

Hansen also holds the No. 7 mark at BYU in the indoor mile (4:33.04) and ranks No. 9 in the outdoor 5000 meters with a time of 15:43.54. A 2024 NCAA indoor national champion, Hansen ran the 800-meter leg on BYU’s title-winning distance medley relay team.

Lexi Goff also ran a personal best in the 1500m clocking 4:19.54. The junior from Highland, Utah placed 27th in 10 heats of the invitational event. 

Mt. Sac Relays

Emily Ellis-Dalley led the way for BYU in the sprints and hurdles at the Mt. SAC Relays, earning a fourth-place finish in the 400 meters with an outdoor personal-best time of 54.81. She also placed 17th in the 200 meters, clocking 24.24.

Lindsey Middleton, a senior from Provo, Utah, finished 10th in the collegiate section of the 100-meter hurdles, posting the third-fastest time of her career at 13.93. She added a 17th-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a season-best 1:01.45, the second-fastest time of her career.

Paje Rassmussen was BYU’s top finisher in both the 100 and 200 meters. The sophomore from Draper, Utah ran 11.78 in the 100 meters to place 11th and recorded an outdoor personal best of 24.14 in the 200 meters to finish 13th.

In the 400-meter hurdles, Annie Nuttall and Madelynne Taggart each notched personal bests, running 1:01.73 and 1:02.25, respectively.

Beach Invitational

Alysa Keller placed second in the invitational section of the javelin with a season-best throw of 48.64m/159-7. Teammate Kat Beachler placed eighth in the event with a toss of 42.83m/140-6.

Other top performances from the Beach Invitational include Gretchen Hoekstre's 52.23m/171-4 personal best in the hammer throw and Summer Young's 26.35 personal best in the 200m.
