No. 8 BYU men's volleyball is set to host No. 7 Pepperdine in back-to-back matches from April 18-19, with a senior night ceremony immediately following Saturday's match to honor seniors Luke Benson, Noa Haine, Miks Ramanis, Teon Taylor and Keoni Thiim.

PROVO, Utah — No. 8 BYU men's volleyball is set to host No. 7 Pepperdine in back-to-back matches from April 18-19, with a senior night ceremony immediately following Saturday's match to honor seniors Luke Benson, Noa Haine, Miks Ramanis, Teon Taylor and Keoni Thiim.

COUGARS (17-9, 5-5 MPSF)

The Cougars dropped to No. 8 in Week 14 of the 2025 AVCA National Collegiate MVB Poll. Overall, BYU has been ranked in the top-10 since February 6, 2023 for a total of 43 consecutive weeks.

BYU fell in back-to-back matches against No. 2 UCLA last weekend, taking the Bruins to five sets on Friday. Benson led the Cougars offensively with 27 kills while Taylor led with seven blocks.

WAVES (17-7, 7-3 MPSF)

Pepperdine is coming off two victories over Jessup in non-conference action, winning in four and three sets. The Waves moved up the rankings in this week's AVCA poll, peaking at No. 7. 

The Waves have accomplished multiple conference wins against those ranked in the top-15 this year, upsetting No. 3 USC at home 3-1 on April 5, 2025 and sweeping No. 12 Grand Canyon in back-to-back matches from Feb. 27-28.

COUGARS VS. WAVES

BYU will be hosting Pepperdine in its final home matches of the regular season. The Cougars hold the 43-36 overall record against the Waves, going on a four game win-streak. Pepperdine's last win against the Cougars was in the 2022 MSPF Quarterfinals, defeating BYU 3-2 on April 20 in Pauley Pavilion.
