PROVO, Utah — BYU returns to the friendly confines of the Marriott Center on Tuesday, Jan. 7, when the Cougars host Texas Tech. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.

THE TEXAS THREE STEP
Tuesday will be the second of three straight games for the Cougars against a school from The Lone Star State. 

BYU is 3-3 all-time against the Red Raiders, including a perfect 2-0 record in Provo. In Tech's last trip to Provo on Dec. 17, 1993, a Mark Durrant-led squad defeated the Red Raiders 84-74. Randy Reid scored a game-high 26 points, going 8-of-13 from the field, 2-of-3 from three and 8-of-12 from the free throw line. 

HOME SWEET HOME
BYU returns to the Marriott Center where the Cougars have won more than 80 percent of their games and enter Tuesday's contest having won 14 straight home games, tied with Kentucky for the 13th longest streak in NCAA Division I men's basketball. 

The Cougars are one of three Big 12 programs to have a current home win streak of 10 or more games. 

DROPPING DIMES
Egor Demin is one of six freshmen in the nation with 60 or more assists following his seven-assist performance on Saturday. Through 10 games, the 6-foot-9 guard is averaging a Big 12-high 6.0 assists per game. 

MARRIOTT CENTER MAGIC
BYU is 8-0 at home under first-year head coach Kevin Young, including a 20-point victory over Arizona State on New Year's Eve. In those eight wins, BYU has outscored opponents by more than 30 points per game (91.1-59.9), while shooting 52.0 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from three and 66.4 percent from the free throw line. 

KNELL IT DOWN
Trevin Knell is shooting 46.2 percent from 3-point range this season after going 4-of-6 from deep on Saturday en route to a team-high 12 points. He has connected on at least one 3-pointer in 12 of 13 games this season and is now tied with former All-American Alex Barcello for the seventh-most triples in program history with 194. 

EFFICIENCY IS KEY
Texas Tech and BYU rank 1-2 in the Big 12 in effective field goal percentage, with the Red Raiders actually leading the nation in the category. 

THE BROTHERHOOD
Both of BYU's 1,000-point scorers come off the bench in Fousseyni Traore and Dawson Baker. The Cougars rank fourth in the Big 12 and 36th nationally in bench points per game (30.77). They are 9-1 this season when the Cougars bench outscores their opponent. 

REBOUND THE BASKETBALL
Even after getting outrebnounded for just the second time this season on Saturday, BYU continues to lead the conference in rebound margin. The Cougars' margin (+11.2) is the seventh-highest in the nation.
