THE COUGARS. BYU (5-4-3, 3-1-1 Big 12) last faced Iowa State on Monday, Sept. 30 on South Field, besting the Cyclones 3-1. Allie Fryer, Mackenzee Vance and Avery Frischknecht scored for the Cougars, with Mika Krommenhoek and Ella Rustand tallying their first-ever assists in the matchup. In a physical battle, the Cougars received three yellow cards and the game had a total of 33 fouls called.
THE WILDCATS. Arizona (7-3-2, 2-2-1 Big 12) last played West Virginia on Sunday, Sept. 29, tying the Mountaineers 1-1 in Tucson, Arizona. After going down 1-0 in the first half, the Wildcats came back to tie the game with a goal by senior Nicole Dallin, her sixth of the season. The Wildcats outshot the Mountaineers 10-8 in the matchup.
