FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – BYU men’s golf is in fourth place after posting a 17-over 593 in the first two rounds of play at the Blessings Club.
Going into Wednesday’s final round, BYU has two players in the top 10. Peter Kim is tied for eighth at 2-over-par. The sophomore went 1-over in each of his first two rounds to lead the Cougars. Senior Cole Ponich is tied for 10th after his 3-over 147 on the first two days. Ponich shot 3-over in round one and 1-under in round two.
BYU is 11 strokes behind first-place LSU (285-297–582). Mississippi State (287-297–584) is in second place and Louisville (301-288–589) rounds out the top three teams. The Cougs are looking to move up the leaderboard tomorrow.
Simon Kwon posted a 5-over total over the opening 36 holes with scores of 75 and 74. He sits tied for 19th as he enters the final round on Wednesday.
Angus Klintworth (74-77–151) is tied for 28th and junior Tyson Shelley (77-79–156) is tied for 39th.
