Mayci Taylor took sixth overall at the conclusion of the heptathlon with 5530 points. Taylor moved to No. 7 all-time becoming just the second athlete in twenty-five years to achieve that score. Taylor secured 935 points in the 800-meters, the seventh and final event, by finishing first across the line in 2:12.04 for a new personal best in the event.
“Mayci was laser focused today,” said muti/sprints and jumps coach Tiffany Hogan. “She came out ready to perform and was incredible to watch. It was so fun to see her win the 800-meter with such dominance after competing in six previous events.”
