DALLAS, Texas – BYU women’s golf finished day one of the Texas Showdown in seventh with rounds of 296 and 289 to finish 9-over par. Alexa Udom sits in a tie for seventh at 2-under-par with rounds of 72 and 70.
“It felt really good to have some under-par rounds today,” BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. “The girls have been working hard, and it was nice to see it pay off. Experiencing the total solar eclipse was super cool while we played. We had to take a little break because it went completely dark, which was unusual but super cool.”
Around 1:45 pm in Dallas, the Cougars had to take a break due to darkness caused by the eclipse.
