FRESNO, California—BYU women’s golf finished in 14th after rounds of 297-301-304–902 to finish 38-over-par at the Fresno State Classic played at Copper River Country Club.
"We started out better this event but we just need to get better at scoring so that we can move up the leaderboard,” BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. "I’m proud of Berlin for stepping in and stepping up. She’s worked hard and it’s really starting to pay off.”
Colorado State won the team title at 3-over-par, with Cal Poly second at 7-over and Pepperdine rounding out the top three at 14-over.
Berlin Long tied for 29th with three rounds of 74 to finish 6-over-par at 222. Lila Galeai (73-77-74–224) tied for 37th at 8-over. María José Barragán (75 75 78 228 +12) tied for 62nd, Alexa Udom (75 75 80 230 +14) tied for 72nd and Lily McCauley (77 78 78 233 +17) tied for 83rd.
Adeline Anderson played as an individual and tied for 79th with rounds of 74-76-82–232 to finish at 16-over-par.
The Cougars will tee it up again at the Texas Showdown on April 8-9 at the Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas, Texas.
