Diljeet Taylor

Mountain Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year: Diljeet Taylor

Taylor earns her third-straight USTFCCCA Mountain Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year honor and the fourth of her career at BYU after winning the award in 2017, 2022 and 2023.

This season, Taylor coached the DMR team of Sadie Sargent, Sami Oblad, Carlee Hansen and Riley Chamberlain to a national championship and the third-fastest time in NCAA indoor championship history at 10:51.42. The national title in the DMR is the second for the Cougars in the past four seasons as Courtney Wayment, Olivia Hoj-Simister, Lauren Ellsworth-Barnes and Alena Ellsworth carried the baton to a title in 2021. Taylor has led the BYU distance women to six nationals titles since she joined the program in 2016.

She also coached the BYU distance women to 12 All-America honors, including eight First Team, for 28 points and a seventh-place team finish at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
