PROVO, Utah - BYU men’s tennis is on the road this week, competing at UC Riverside in the season’s only doubleheader on Friday at 11 a.m. MST and 3 p.m.
BYU (3-3) is fresh off a dominant 2-0 home stand, sweeping both Omaha and Montana State 7-0 last week. In all 16 of last week’s individual player matches, the Cougars only dropped one set.

Where Things Stand
After dropping his first singles match in the season-opener at San Diego State, Wally Thayne has now won five straight at No. 2 singles as he and teammate Redd Owen now lead the team in singles play at 5-1.
No. 35 Thayne and Zach Fuchs lead the team in most consecutive doubles victories as winners of three in a row and 3-1 overall. Jack Barnett owns a 4-2 doubles record with Owen and stands at 4-2 in singles.
No. 3 doubles combo Tygen Goldammer and TJ Wells registered their first collegiate doubles win together in last Saturday’s 7-6 (3) tiebreaker triumph as freshman David Duong improved to 3-1 in singles play.
UC Riverside Notes
