LUBBOCK, Texas — No. 3 BYU women's cross country punched its ticket to nationals Friday morning at the Chaparral Ridge Cross Country Course.
The team finished in second place with 59 points earning the automatic bid to the national championship race next Saturday morning in Virginia.
Carmen Alder finished fourth with a time of 19:30.5 to lead BYU. Aubrey Frentheway was one-tenth of a second behind her to cross the line in fifth. Lexy Halladay-Lowry placed ninth as she finished in 19:47.1. Carlee Hansen and Anastaysia Davis placed 16th and 25th to round out the scoring five for the Cougars.
