COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Eight members of the BYU women's volleyball team will participate in the Women's National Team Open Program at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center this week.
Outside hitter Erin Livingston, outside hitter Elyse Stowell, outside hitter Sophia Callahan, middle blocker Whitney Llarenas, setter Whitney Bower, libero Aria McComber, opposite/middle blocker Kate Prior and outside hitter Eden Bower will all make the trip to Colorado Springs to take part in the program, scheduled for Feb. 24-26.
Per USA Volleyball, "The WNT Open Program is used for consideration for selection to both our Women’s National Team and our Women’s Collegiate National Team. These programs allow our Women’s National Team staff to observe the highest potential athletes with and against one another."
This year, the Women's National Team will compete at Volleyball Nations League, Paris Olympic Qualifier, Pan American Cup, NORCECA Continental Championship and potentially the Pan American Games.
The 2023 U.S. Women’s Collegiate National Team will train in Anaheim alongside the U.S. Women’s National Team athletes and staff. Dates for the WCNT training block will be announced soon.
