PROVO, Utah - No. 21 BYU gymnastics will honor its four seniors, Mackenzie Douglas, Kyleigh Greenlief, Brittni Hawes and Jill van Mierlo, during the last home meet of the season against Penn State, Utah State and Texas Woman’s this Friday night in the Smith Fieldhouse.

“We have an unbelievable gymnastics meet on Friday,” head coach Guard Young said. “Utah State is an in-conference rival, and Penn State just threw up a huge score as a Big Ten team. TWU beat us last year at their place, so there’s a little revenge going into this meet.”

The four seniors and team captains will be honored during the meet with videos between each event and a final send-off for their last home meet.

“This is going to be such a special night with the seniors,” Young said. “They have their own personalities and bring some great leadership to the group, especially with our freshmen, and their gymnastics speak for themselves. We’re really going to miss them.”

BYU had an exciting weekend on the road against Utah State and No. 11 Oregon State. The Cougars beat Utah State 196.200 to 196.100 on Friday night.
